Hing Weng Eric Tsang is a Hong Kong-based filmmaker and artist, youth board member of Renaissance Foundation Hong Kong. Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (majoring in Journalism and Communication), Eric is the author of Tales of Honey: A Collection of Interviews with Post-80s Directors from the Greater China. Eric’s short film A Thousand Sails was selected by Sundance Film Festival in 2020. Another short film The Umbrella earned several awards including the Edward Snowden Award at the 17th Festival International Signes de Nuit – Paris and Fresh Wave Award in Hong Kong. His experimental dance video Meeting with the Monk was exhibited in the National Art Museum of China. Eric is now preparing for his debut feature film, The Winter Solstice.
