ADC Artspace (Genesis)
ADC Artspace (Genesis) in Wong Chuk Hang is the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s (HKADC) first arts space scheme. The total 10,300 sq. ft. floor area was converted into 17 independent studios ranging from 300 to 1,400 sq. ft.. The scheme was launched for six years (2014 – 2020) with 3 terms of tenancy and had benefited 63 visual or media arts artists with a rent of below-market rate to support their arts development.
The establishment of the ADC Artspace (Genesis) was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited which leased the space at a below-market rate to HKADC, and the full support from the Home Affairs Bureau.
