Tissue & Nose is an artist studio founded by artist Kelly Chu Wing Lam and Echo Hui Gi Wai. The concept of abject inspires Kelly Chu to work with material and sites that are often pre-owned, unclean, abandoned or neglected. Chu also likes to explore the possibility of discussing gender issues in things that are considered irrelevant and more often overlooked; Echo Hui mainly works with new media technologies. The olfactory sense has been the focus of Hui’s research. “Noseborg” is a long-term project of Hui studying the relation between smell and interpersonal relationships.
