ADC Artspace (Genesis) Studio – Third Term Tenancy Open for Leasing Application

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) now invites qualified visual/media artists to submit application for leasing the studios of ADC Artspace (Genesis). The second term tenancy of the ADC Artspace (Genesis) located at Genesis in Wong Chuk Hang will expire on 31 October 2018. The tenancy period of the third term will be from 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2020. To encourage the development of visual/media artists studying arts diploma programmes or above or graduated for not more than three years, applicants may also apply for the HKADC’s “Arts Student/Graduate Rental Subsidy Scheme”. Qualified tenants will be provided 50% rental subsidy for a maximum of two years.
Interested parties can obtain application guidelines and application form from the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) during office hours, or download these documents from HKADC’s website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Completed application (including application form, supplementary information and all supporting documents) must be deposited into the collection box located at the above address by 6:00pm on 25 January 2018 (Thursday) the latest. Please mark “ADC Artspace (Genesis) – Third Term Tenancy Application” on the envelope. Applications submitted by post will only be accepted if postmarked no later than the deadline. Submission by courier will only be accepted if the pick-up date shown on the courier’s order form is no later than the deadline. About ADC Artspace (Genesis)
ADC Artspace (Genesis) is located on 12/F, Genesis, 33-35 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen. It is close to Wong Chuk Hang Station of the MTR South Island Line. The total floor area of ADC Artspace (Genesis) is about 10,254 ft2 and it is partitioned into 17 individual studios ranging from around 300 to 1,400 ft2. It aims to provide studios at concessionary rent to local visual/media artists.

Film of Mr Tsang Yuk-hei, Don from “Concrete Lab” was awarded in the Formosa Festival of International Filmmaker Awards in Taiwan

“Morning”, work of Mr Tsang Yuk-hei, Don, artist of “Concrete Lab”, caught the attention of Taiwan arts industry once again and was awarded in the 2017 Formosa Festival of International Filmmaker Awards. “Morning” explores the topic of humanity in modern Hong Kong society and it also shows Mr. Tsang’s unremitting efforts in his art pursuit. The film will be screened at the Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park on 14 December.

For Hong Kongers, you need not be disappointed as the film is selected in the Group Up 2018 Student Film Festival and screening will be arranged by GroundUPSFF in February next year.
